This Privacy Policy explains how PlaylistPlayerApp (“the App”, “we”, “our”, “us”) handles your information when you use our music player application. The App is designed to integrate seamlessly with your Apple Music library to browse, shuffle, and play tracks from your playlists. We take your privacy seriously and strive to collect the minimum necessary information to provide functionality.

2. Information We Collect

The App itself does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information to us or any third party. All music data is accessed locally through Apple’s MusicKit API.

When you use the App, the following information may be accessed locally on your device:

  • Apple Music Library Information: This includes playlist names, track titles, artist names, album artwork, and related metadata retrieved via MusicKit.

  • Playback State Information: Current track, playback position, and play/pause/skip status.

This data is used solely within the App for playback and display purposes. It is not sent to any external server operated by us.

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

  • Apple Music / MusicKit: All music content and metadata are provided by Apple Music and subject to Apple’s own privacy policy.

We do not control how Apple handles your Apple Music data.

4. Permissions

The App requires the following permissions:

  • Apple Music Access: To read your library, playlists, and playback capabilities, the App requests authorization from MusicKit.
    Without this permission, the App cannot function.

Permissions are granted or denied through your device’s Settings app and can be revoked at any time.

5. Data Storage & Security

  • All playlist and track information accessed from Apple Music is processed only in memory during your session.

  • We do not create accounts, store personal identifiers, or save your library on our own servers.

  • Any caching is handled by Apple Music / iOS system frameworks.

6. Children’s Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect or store personal data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with a new “Last Updated” date at the top.
